The trousers are finished with Cordura material on the kneepads and around the hem of the trouser leg. The Herock Mars have a Velcro fastening around the top of the top loading knee pad pouch. I still think that for ease the top loading kneepad is a better option although after a while the Velcro can fail and then the kneepad can easily come out, but the 3 points of Velcro should ensure that this will last a while. The trousers are a polyester cotton mix approx. 230 gram in weight. It has some great features like the deep front pocket, the right hand leg has a nice deep open drop in cargo pocket, and the left has a pocket with a flap and Velcro fixing to stop you losing your wallet. They also have a handy phone pocket. I particularly liked the deep front chino style pockets. They felt like you wouldn’t lose your money when jumping in and out of a van or car all day. There was also the added feature of a hard wearing Cordura trim of material around the hip pocket edges. Little features like this and attention to detail make me feel that I am buying a product that a little more thought has gone into.
The Mars Trouser also has a water resistant outer coating; which is great if you get caught out in the rain. I personally thought that the traditional Herock feature of a 5cm adjustable leg hem was a great idea allowing you to adjust the leg length as you see fit. The hem is easily dropped by the means of a run stitch so this can easily be unpicked. I did think that the trousers could have warranted a triple stitching through the legs as it would have strengthened the crotch area, but this is me being picky, and one final thing, the quality control could have been a bit better on the stitches as there were a few little threads untrimmed. Again nothing really bad but I would like you to know all of my findings.
On a big plus, the fit of the trousers was lovely and for a pair of trousers priced at around the £30 mark, it has a big thumbs up from me, Ady.

Unsure how to work out the sizes? If you are a 34” waist pick the 44, basically all you have to do is knock off 10. I love how all European trousers are just mad on crazy sizing, I mean why would you make it simple. ☺
