In India, why are Muslims at bottom, whereas lowest caste Hindus have leapfrogged? Quran's first revealed verse say says Read and Muslims have turned deaf ear and use their energy in keeping women under control and restricting their movement. If Muslim women are given the same freedom of movement like Hindu women, they can advance similarly.
In USA, we see Hindu women on TV, in science conferences, as CEO of Big Corporation, in politics, and in leadership, everywhere. A dedicated or educated mother only can advance her children. If mothers are shackled and kept home bound, how are they going to go to schools and Government office for their children admissions and scholarships?
For last 25 years, I am trying to advance Muslim women in India, but find lot of resistance. Medical line has so many lucrative jobs, for nurses, for medical assistant, for lab technicians etc. but Muslim families refuse; though they want their girls to become Doctors. If a girl becomes a Nurse they think family will lose Izzat; and, if she becomes a Doctor it will make them proud.
